Overview
Morgan McKinley is partnering exclusively with a prominent multinational pharmaceutical manufacturer that is in the middle of a significant multi-million-euro expansion at its Athlone site. The business is looking for an experienced engineering support professional to join the team and contribute to project and financial control activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver administrative, organisational, and special project support to the Engineering function.
- Create and oversee purchase orders and payments, while helping strengthen financial discipline within the Engineering team.
- Serve as the department’s key functional representative for goods receipting of supplies and services.
- Monitor capital expenditure and transactions, support investment processes, and promote strong project management practices and teamwork across Engineering.
- Assist the site projects team with project controls and governance linked to investment initiatives.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis for KPI dashboards.
- Support the preparation of budget submissions across the relevant budgeting cycles.
- Compile monthly accrual files for Finance.
- Act as the main contact for procurement and finance audit-related queries.
- Prepare legal agreements and contracts to support the Engineering group.
- Carry out any additional duties or responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
Required Background
A degree, or an equivalent qualification, in Engineering, Business, or Finance is required. The role also calls for 0 to 3 years of experience in an administrative or account assistance position, ideally in a similar environment.

The ideal candidate should have excellent written and spoken English, strong collaboration skills, a proactive and self-driven approach, good analytical and critical thinking ability, attention to detail, strong planning and organisation skills, resilience, and the confidence to work effectively with stakeholders across different functions and levels.
