Role Overview
This full-time remote Procurement Specialist position is focused on overseeing the full purchasing cycle. The role includes preparing, sending, and following up on purchase orders so business requirements are met accurately and on time. You will assess suppliers, compare bids and proposals, and keep supplier records organized to support smart sourcing decisions. The position also involves supporting contract discussions with internal teams to help achieve advantageous terms while reducing risk. In addition, the role requires tracking procurement results, reviewing data to uncover savings opportunities, maintaining policy compliance, and partnering with finance and operations teams to align buying activity with budgets and demand plans.
Qualifications
- Experience with complete procurement and buying workflows, including strategic sourcing, is expected.
- Ability to create, monitor, and reconcile purchase orders is important.
- Experience evaluating suppliers based on performance, quality, reliability, and cost will be useful.
- Contract negotiation skills, including reviewing and helping finalize commercial and legal terms, are needed.
- Strong analytical ability is required for comparing costs, working with data, and preparing reports to guide decisions.
- Background in procurement, supply chain, or operations in corporate or industrial settings is an advantage.
- Clear communication and relationship management skills are necessary, especially in a remote working environment.
- Familiarity with procurement or ERP platforms, as well as standard office software such as spreadsheets and presentation tools, is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a similar field, or equivalent hands-on experience, is expected.
- You should be able to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and maintain ethical, compliant purchasing practices.
