Painter

Overview

ASAP Traffic is hiring a painter to handle surface preparation and finishing work across different sites in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. This is a full-time, on-site position, so the work must be performed at the job location with no remote option.

Language Requirement

English fluency is required for this role.

Education

A secondary school graduation certificate is required, though an equivalent mix of education and work experience may also be accepted.

Experience

The employer is seeking someone with 3 to less than 5 years of relevant experience.

Work Setting

The work may take place at various locations.

Key Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and getting them ready for painting.
• Fix imperfections such as cracks and holes before finishing.
• Blend paint to achieve the required colour and texture.
• Set up scaffolding and swing stages, including rigging where needed.
• Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishing materials to both interior and exterior surfaces.

Work Conditions and Physical Demands

• Strong focus on detail is important.
• The role requires good hand-eye coordination.
• You should be able to tell colours apart accurately.
• Frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling are part of the work.
