Molecular Biologist

Overview

This contract role is for a Molecular Biologist based in Boston, Massachusetts. The position focuses on advancing gene therapy research programs through hands-on laboratory work, assay development, and data delivery to cross-functional project teams.

Qualifications

The role calls for a B.S. and/or M.S. in biology or a closely related discipline, along with more than 3 years of relevant laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with team members to move new gene therapy programs forward.
• Carry out cell culture and molecular biology experiments to support research goals.
• Create and implement new functional assays to evaluate gene therapy results in both in vitro and in vivo settings.
• Develop and validate novel endpoint assays for in vivo studies.
• Collaborate across teams to provide project data within the required timelines.
• Keep thorough scientific records in an electronic lab notebook.
