Role overview
Pickerings is a major provider of temporary building solutions, supplying high-quality modular structures for a wide range of needs. Its customers include schools that require extra classrooms, businesses that need more office accommodation, and construction projects that call for office and welfare facilities.
What you will do
In this depot-based modular team role, you will work from technical CAD drawings to build modular building structures and complete internal fit-outs. This includes installing items such as doors, windows, partitions, kitchens, and sanitary fittings so the finished unit meets customer expectations.
Working hours and location
This position is based at the Stoke Depot. The working week is 45 hours, scheduled from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime is compensated at 1.5 times the standard hourly rate.
About you
You should bring hands-on experience across several industrial trades, including joinery, plumbing, and electrical work. Experience of building, repairing, and adapting modular units within the modular or portable building sector is important. You will need to work to deadlines, maintain strong safety standards, deliver consistent quality, and collaborate effectively with colleagues. Because part of the construction work is carried out outdoors, you must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and physically able to handle large modular components.
Pay and benefits
