Role overview

This permanent full-time opportunity is suited to an experienced Masters Draftsperson with a background in volume home building. The position is based in Derrimut, Victoria, and runs Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with the option to work from home one day each week. The role calls for strong attention to detail, a fast pace, and a solid understanding of master planning and residential drafting within Victoria.

What the role involves

You will take ownership of master drawings and help improve them over time, working across updates, accuracy checks, and compliance alignment. The position involves collaborating with the Head of Product, Design, and Innovation to handle requests, manage work in progress, and keep master files organised and prioritised.

• Reviewing, updating, and enhancing master drawings, including converting designs from AutoCAD into Revit
• Making sure all drafting work aligns with NCC 2022, SLHC, and ResCode requirements
• Preparing and refining façade and construction detailing
• Finding and fixing inconsistencies to maintain quality standards
• Producing stair details for both single-storey and double-storey homes
• Using AutoCAD and Revit effectively in day-to-day work

What you’ll need

• Prior experience as a Masters Draftsperson within an Australian volume-building environment
• Strong working knowledge of Victorian residential building rules and standards
• The ability to juggle several priorities and deliver within deadlines
• A high level of accuracy, with strong troubleshooting ability
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach
