Maintenance Officer

Main duties

• Carry out everyday maintenance work as assigned, including gardening tasks when needed.
• Review maintenance records, decide what needs attention first, and arrange contractors when required.
• Work with the Home Manager to organise and plan maintenance activity across the facility.
• Manage ordering, receipt, and storage of supplies and stock.
• Respond promptly to hazards, incidents, and other maintenance-related issues.

What we are looking for

• Hands-on experience in maintenance and/or gardening.
• A strong commitment to ongoing quality improvement.
• Practical understanding of workplace health and safety and infection control.
• A service-first mindset with a clear focus on customer care.
• A driver’s licence.
• Prior exposure to aged care settings, including retirement villages or independent living environments.
• Trade qualifications and/or relevant practical experience.
