Machinist

Job Summary

This opening is for a Machinist role based in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The position is intended to build technical machining capability and, over time, prepare the selected person for a mechanical lead role in the shop. The exact day-to-day work may be adjusted by the assigned mentor as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand engineering drawings and process prints to carry out the correct machining work.
• Complete assigned tasks independently and maintain productivity without direct supervision.
• Check part runout for individual components and for rotating equipment such as generator and turbine rotors.
• Machine stationary and rotating parts, including bearings, oil seals, shafts, and similar components.
• Carry out reaming, drilling, tapping, and other machining operations.
• Operate a lathe and tip-grinding machine on your own.
• Handle a range of machining activities as required by the shop.
• Perform burnishing, skim cutting, patch ring work, aluminum or copper sleeve work, threading, and prais-ing.
• Use the Accuscan machine for runout measurement.
• Operate the VBM equipment.
• Measure components accurately using the necessary instruments.
• Coach and support other team members when required.
• Coordinate closely with supervisors and engineers to keep equipment running efficiently.
• Apply 5S and lean principles while following all safety procedures and regulations.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or technical college qualification, or an equivalent background, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of CNC machining, finishing, or similar industrial manufacturing activities.
• Total experience of 5 to 10 years, with at least 3 years specifically as a Machinist.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and expand technical skills.
• Comfort working rotating shifts, including both day and night duty.
