About the role
This position focuses on keeping materials moving smoothly in a busy industrial setting. The role covers inbound and outbound flows, inventory accuracy, and close coordination with production so materials reach the right place at the right time. You will also work with third-party logistics partners and use inventory systems such as ERP and WMS.
Key responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day logistics activities, including receiving, storage, internal material handling, and dispatch of battery parts and completed products.
- Work closely with production, procurement, and planning teams to make sure materials are available for manufacturing on schedule.
- Keep inventory levels under control and verify accuracy through cycle counts and other stock control processes.
- Manage warehouse team operations, including shift scheduling, training, and performance oversight.
- Maintain compliance with safety rules, including OSHA requirements and procedures for hazardous materials such as lithium-ion batteries.
- Improve material movement, warehouse organization, and operating processes to raise efficiency and lower cost.
- Handle shipping paperwork, coordinate with carriers, and manage transportation timing.
- Monitor performance measures such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and fulfillment rates.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts using Lean or Six Sigma approaches.
- Ensure sensitive and regulated materials are stored, moved, and transported correctly.
- Maintain strong control over inventory and stock movement tracking.
- Apply warehouse management practices such as FIFO and identification/control of slow-moving stock.
- Use Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, for reporting and analysis.
- Coordinate transportation assets, including company vehicles and forklifts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a similar discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3–5+ years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain work within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience is required.
- Background in battery manufacturing, automotive, or energy-related industries is preferred.
- Working knowledge of ERP and WMS platforms.
- Exposure to hazardous material handling and regulatory compliance is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-volume production environment.
Preferred skills
- Bilingual fluency in Korean and English is required.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is 70,000 to 90,000.
