Job Purpose
The Logistics and Distribution Coordinator will support the Logistics team by managing product distribution across North America and by coordinating shipments among global subsidiaries. This role is central to keeping retail boutiques, wholesale accounts, and outlet locations supplied smoothly. The coordinator will gather and share the information needed to keep goods moving on schedule and to help maintain efficient supply-chain partnerships across channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle the day-to-day flow of receiving, picking, and inventory upkeep in outlet warehouses while following standard procedures.
- Track stock in transit and stock on hand every day.
- Coordinate end-of-season stock returns within the domestic market, Canada, and Central America.
- Organize warehouse teams so that merchandise returns to vendor, order receiving, picking, and shipping are completed on time across retail warehouse and BG consignment activities.
- Assist with warehouse organization for retail and outlet operations and support inventory control processes.
- Guide stores and offices on the most effective use of express carriers, balancing cost efficiency with service quality.
- Prepare monthly KPI reports for retail and outlet warehouses covering productivity and cost per piece.
- Prepare monthly UPS KPI reports for shipping services and cost per piece across retail, outlet, and ecommerce operations.
- Coordinate the license review process for Fish & Wildlife, Vicuna, and Food & Drug Administration matters for both Prada Spa and Prada USA, and work with Legal or external counsel on Fish & Wildlife-related issues.
- Monitor shipment progress closely and resolve shipping problems, including matters related to Fish and Wildlife, CITES, and other PGA requirements.
- Collect data for the U.S. and Canada drawback program and work with the appointed brokerage partner on DDB submission.
- Track and manage KPIs for wholesale returns warehouse operations, including SAP paperwork, receiving, and quality performance.
- Produce monthly freight forwarder KPI reports, monitor turnaround time against Prada standards, and keep Head Quarter informed.
- Maintain records for returns to vendor and return authorizations, and coordinate with Finance when required.
- Export EOS, presale, and BQRA documentation to Head Quarter.
- Support claim filing activities.
- Track CITES export clearance performance and create a dedicated KPI report.
- Oversee wholesale warehouse operations to improve productivity and service levels across receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
- Travel to 3PL warehouse locations as required.
- Identify process improvements and help establish better ways of working.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics is preferred.
- Two to three years of relevant experience in international logistics or customs brokerage.
- Strong interest in logistics and a hardworking, curious approach.
- Working understanding of international trade, import duties, and Incoterms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal ability.
- Strong analytical capability and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for handling large data sets.
- SAP experience is an advantage.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time management.
- Previous experience in a 3PL warehouse environment.
- Ability to stay proactive, find solutions, adapt quickly, and perform well in a fast-paced setting.
Compensation and Additional Information
The role offers an annualized salary of $63,000 to $70,000. Depending on eligibility, it may also include bonuses and other incentive opportunities. Final pay may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
This is an on-site position based in New York, NY.
Travel to 3PL warehouse locations is required.
