The company is supporting a German financial services organization that is rebuilding its internal performance management platform. This opening is for a Junior UI Engineer to contribute to that effort in a fully remote setup, with the flexibility to work from any location.
Role overview
You will help design, build, and maintain interfaces for financial reporting dashboards and planning tools. The emphasis is on simplicity, readability, and trustworthiness rather than visual effects. Working with senior engineers, you will shape layouts that make complex data easier for users to understand and rely on.
Because the team operates remotely, strong communication and documentation are essential. A key part of the job is writing notes, code explanations, and configuration guides so the client can eventually manage the system independently after the engagement ends.
What you will do
- Create and style web UI components using modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Support the development of dashboards and data visualisation features for financial analysis.
- Make sure interfaces are responsive and function correctly across browsers.
- Produce clear documentation for internal use and for client handover.
- Take part in code reviews to build knowledge and maintain quality standards.
- Test interface elements and resolve defects before delivery to client teams.
- Collaborate with senior consultants to understand how finance professionals use data.
- Revise existing UI components in response to user feedback and changing reporting needs.
What we are looking for
- Solid grounding in HTML5 and CSS3, including layout and styling basics.
- Basic JavaScript knowledge and curiosity about how it supports data-heavy applications.
