Junior Accountant

Role Overview

EnigmaSoft Technologies is hiring a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day finance activities at its Goa office. The position is centered on managing payables, receivables, tax-related work, recordkeeping, compliance, and support for financial planning. This role is important for keeping operations organized and ensuring financial processes run smoothly.

Location and Employment

This is a full-time, in-office role based in Panaji, Goa, India. The work schedule is a daytime shift from 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Immediate joiners will be given preference.

Compensation

The salary offered for this position is Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 40,000 per month.

Qualifications and Background

Candidates should hold a B.Com degree or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. A background that includes Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, Business Mathematics, Economics, and Financial Management is relevant for this role. At least 1 year of professional experience in accounting is required, ideally gained in a corporate or large business setting. Experience working with startups and familiarity with tax exemptions will be an added advantage.

Accounting and Tax Knowledge

The role requires a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals, including GAAP and IFRS, along with a sound understanding of financial regulations. Candidates should also be well-versed in Indian tax laws, especially GST, TDS, and corporate tax.

Core Duties

The selected candidate will handle vendor payments, customer invoicing, account reconciliations, tax filings, payroll processing, financial reporting, and coordination with different internal teams. The role also involves helping improve finance processes and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.

Skills and Working Style

Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and sound judgment are essential. The role also needs good organization, multitasking, communication, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively under deadlines. Comfort with a fast-moving, global environment is important.

Tools and Software

Experience with accounting tools such as Tally, QuickBooks, and SAP is expected, along with advanced MS Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
