The business serves international trade through tailored solutions and integrated information systems, and operates as a Fortune 500 company with more than 19,000 trained professionals across over 350 locations on six continents.
The company emphasizes professionalism, leadership, and a collaborative environment. It also focuses on hiring, developing, and retaining strong logistics and technical talent, with a culture that encourages long-term careers and growth from within.
Role Overview
This entry-level technical position is focused on delivering first-contact support, following established procedures, recording resolutions, and escalating issues when needed. The role combines customer service, routine technical maintenance, compliance awareness, and support for procurement and vendor-related activities under supervision.
Key Duties
The associate will provide first-level assistance for hardware, software, and network-related problems and work toward timely resolution. The role also includes helping with system updates, patching, and basic configuration tasks under guidance.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining troubleshooting capability across operating systems, enterprise applications, and peripheral devices, while keeping clear records of solutions and building knowledge base content for recurring issues. The position requires clear communication with non-technical users, prompt escalation of complex incidents, and regular status updates to keep users informed.
The job also involves using logical analysis to identify root causes, prioritizing work by urgency and business impact, adhering to IT policies and security requirements, and ensuring incident logs are accurate for audit and compliance purposes. Support for periodic audits, procurement specifications, warranty issues, and repairs may also be required.
Hardware and Software Support
The role includes day-to-day oversight of branch hardware effectiveness, including inventory control, end-of-life handling, ordering, setup, and retirement of equipment. On the software side, the associate will help troubleshoot issues, support new software rollouts, manage backup and storage of data, and use technology tools that improve operational performance.
Solutions and Process Improvement
There is an opportunity to work with operational teams to design and improve solutions that increase efficiency, automate processes, and enhance productivity within the branch.
Qualifications
Applicants should have experience with Windows 11 and PC troubleshooting, and candidates who have built computers before are preferred. Familiarity with PowerShell, networking, TCP/IP, cybersecurity, and cabling is valuable, along with exposure to Office, Exchange, and SharePoint.
Strong problem-solving ability, the capacity to manage multiple tasks or projects, and solid customer service and interpersonal skills are important. Good communication, a curious and exploratory mindset, and relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, or Linux are considered advantages.

All candidate information is handled confidentially in line with EEO guidelines.
