Role Summary
itD is hiring a Human Resource Manager to strengthen workplace fairness and employee advocacy through complex employee relations investigations, trusted guidance on employment matters, and close coordination with stakeholders to maintain a respectful, compliant work environment. This position calls for substantial experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, and HR advisory work, along with a history of handling difficult employee matters, shaping leadership decisions, and supporting consistent, fair outcomes.
Location and Duration
This is a remote role based in the United States. Candidates may live in any U.S. time zone, with a preference for someone who can work closely with a manager and team operating in Pacific Time. The assignment runs for 14 months.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead employee relations investigations and advise on suitable next steps in line with company policies, procedures, and employment practices.
- Handle a large volume of employee relations matters from intake to final resolution, with consistent communication, documentation, and closure.
- Keep case files, investigation notes, and supporting records accurate and complete.
- Guide managers, HR partners, and other stakeholders on employee relations concerns, policy application, and disciplinary decisions.
- Coach employees and leaders through sensitive workplace situations while balancing employee advocacy with business requirements.
- Work with legal, HR, and other teams to evaluate risk, address workplace issues, and apply policies consistently.
- Create and present training, presentations, and learning materials on employee relations programs and best practices.
- Contribute to the improvement, rollout, and ongoing refinement of employee relations programs and processes.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders at every level, including senior and executive leaders.
- Use new technologies and AI-supported tools to increase efficiency while protecting employee experience and workplace culture.
Internal Expectations
- Take part in regular internal practice-community meetings.
- Partner with the itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
- Produce client case studies and learning content such as blogs and media materials.
- Develop materials that support the Digital Transformation practice.
- Participate in internal itD networking events, both in person and online.
- Work with leadership on opportunities for accelerated career growth.
Required Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in Human Resources and/or Employee Relations.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading workplace or employee relations investigations.
- At least 2 years supporting employees in a multinational organization.
- Experience managing complex employee relations issues and high-volume case queues.
- Strong understanding of employee relations practices, workplace investigations, policy interpretation, and disciplinary procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive matters.
Preferred Background
- Experience with HR Acuity or similar employee relations case-management systems.
- Proven ability to work with business leaders to support organizational goals and workforce initiatives.
- Strong experience in presentations, facilitation, and training delivery.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build alignment across multiple management levels.
- Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with competing priorities.
- Experience building and implementing HR strategies and employee relations programs.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled tools that improve operational efficiency and employee relations workflows.
- Experience supporting organizational change and complex workforce environments.
