About the role

Water Corporation is hiring a Planner for its High Voltage Maintenance function, based at the Canning Vale Depot in Perth. This position sits within the Operational Services team and reports to the Team Leader – High Voltage Maintenance. The core purpose of the role is to plan and coordinate a four-year high-voltage maintenance program while meeting legislative obligations and safety standards. The role works across Operations, Finance and Safety to support safe work planning and produce detailed work packs for field teams. It offers the chance to help maintain the reliability and performance of essential infrastructure serving Western Australia.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and maintain safe job work packs, keeping safety central to all planning.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance and Safety teams to support budgeting, planning and delivery.
  • Help shape asset investment planning through maintenance and improvement strategy development.
  • Track performance, prepare regular reports and suggest continuous improvement actions.
  • Assist with audits, stakeholder coordination and safety-focused initiatives within the HV maintenance area.

What’s on offer

  • Flexible work arrangements, including work-from-home options.
  • A 9-day fortnight and flexible working hours.
  • Two wellbeing days each year.
  • Long service leave available pro rata after 3 years.
  • Superannuation support with a 12% employer contribution plus an extra 2% employer co-contribution when you salary sacrifice 2%.
  • Option to buy up to 12 weeks of additional leave, or work four years at reduced salary and take the fifth year off as paid leave.
  • Up to 5 days of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural and ceremonial leave.

Skills and experience required

The ideal candidate will bring a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or an Electrical trade certificate, along with solid experience in planning or delivering asset investment or maintenance programs. You should be confident using SAP and have strong Excel and Word skills. The role also calls for someone who can work independently, solve problems, handle competing priorities, communicate effectively with stakeholders and stay organised while thinking analytically.

Application and screening

Applicants should submit a cover letter and resume that clearly show relevant skills, experience and suitability for the role. Applications close on 5 July 2026. As part of recruitment, candidates may need to complete pre-employment checks, which can include a medical assessment, qualification verification, police clearance and confirmation of Australian working rights.
