Role overview
This contract Graphic Designer role is based in Toronto, Ontario, and follows a hybrid schedule with four days on-site and one day working from home. The selected person will join an internal creative team focused on producing assets for both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
Contract details
- Contract length is 14 months, with a possibility of extension depending on business needs and performance.
- There may also be an opportunity for conversion to a longer-term role, subject to business needs and performance.
- Compensation is set at C$26.00 to C$31.00 per hour.
- Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- No travel is required for this position.
What you'll do
You will develop visual concepts and also adapt work within existing templates while maintaining a high level of precision. The role covers a broad mix of branded materials, including event assets, marketing pieces, presentation decks, and UX-related design work. You should be comfortable managing your own projects end to end, from discussing briefs with stakeholders to arranging print production and vendor delivery.
Core responsibilities
- Work closely with internal partners to create polished marketing assets such as sales tools, pitch decks, and brochures.
- Ensure every deliverable stays consistent with brand standards and broader strategy goals.
- Produce a variety of creative outputs for internal and external use, including collateral and digital-friendly design work.
- Handle projects independently, including briefing discussions, coordination, and follow-through with vendors as needed.
Required experience and skills
The role calls for strong expertise in graphic and web design, event branding, and accessibility-focused design practices. Candidates should bring at least four years of practical creative experience, ideally in an agency or in-house setting supporting corporate clients. Strong knowledge of web design fundamentals, including HTML and CSS, is important, along with the ability to create data visualizations and infographics. Confidence in stakeholder communication and collaboration is also essential.
Tools and technical requirements
Applicants should be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite tools such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, After Effects, Figma, and Premiere Pro. Strong Microsoft Office skills are also needed, especially PowerPoint, along with working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred background
A background in banking or finance is preferred. Familiarity with website structure and app development will also be considered an advantage.
Education
An undergraduate degree is required, with a preference for a design-related field.
