Role overview
We are hiring driven graduates to join a leading political and credit risk insurance firm. The business has more than 30 years of experience supporting major international investment and commercial banks, global commodity traders, multinational corporates, and multilateral development finance institutions. Its brokerage teams bring the expertise needed to help clients understand the product and structure it correctly for each transaction.
This position is for a highly organised Master Data Analyst who can help create and sustain a trusted master data source covering market and operational information. The role is important for protecting the quality, consistency, and governance of data used across broking, operations, finance, compliance, reporting, and future AI work.
Master data management
- Own and maintain the firm’s central master data source in line with existing governance rules.
- Check that data remains accurate, complete, consistent, and of high quality across connected systems.
- Track down and fix mismatches, duplicates, and reconciliation problems.
Data governance and compliance
- Help design, update, and maintain governance standards, controls, and procedures.
- Make sure every data change follows the approved workflow and control framework.
Process improvement
- Create repeatable methods for managing master data on an ongoing basis.
- Look for ways to improve efficiency and strengthen data quality.
- Support the development of sustainable operating procedures that keep data standards high.
Stakeholder management
- Serve as a key contact for master data questions and requests.
- Partner with Broking, Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Technology teams to resolve issues.
- Guide stakeholders on data standards and good practice.
Reporting and analysis
- Prepare regular reporting on data quality and management information.
- Review data patterns to spot new or emerging quality concerns.
- Assist with data preparation for reporting, dashboards, and future AI and analytics projects.
Requirements
- A degree is required.
- Some prior exposure to data work is expected.
- Experience with data-related technologies would be a strong advantage.
- A genuine interest in learning and professional development is important.
