Role Overview
The Global Assignment Consultant supports corporate clients by coordinating employees who are relocating for international assignments. This role acts as the main contact for assignees and ensures assignment services are delivered smoothly in accordance with client policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
A large share of the role involves assignment and file management, including counseling on policy, arranging destination services, coordinating shipment of household goods, supporting immigration needs, handling departure services, managing expenses, and guiding assignees throughout the full assignment cycle.
You will also work closely with internal stakeholders and service providers to maintain a smooth experience for assignees and to ensure service quality from certified providers.
In addition, the position involves regular client communication, including acting as a liaison with HR contacts, supporting exception handling, recommending policy-based solutions, sharing progress updates, and addressing issues proactively.
Other duties may be assigned to support managers, clients, and assignees as needed.
Experience and Skills
Applicants should have either at least 2 years of relocation experience or at least 3 years of customer service experience. A strong understanding of international assignment management and global business practices is important.
The role calls for excellent problem-solving ability, independence, strong written and verbal communication, solid organization, multitasking skills, and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Good interpersonal and presentation skills are also required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred Background
International work or living experience is an advantage, and additional language skills are preferred.
Education Requirements
A high school diploma is required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
