ملازمت کی تفصیل
Role overview
Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking motivated individuals to join its Portering team. The role supports the delivery of a caring, safe, and efficient portering service for patients across the hospital.
Key duties
The position includes transporting equipment, post, medical gases, linen, and waste throughout Trust areas. You will also be expected to drive a transit-style van and handle medium to heavy items through lifting, pulling, and pushing.
Communication and conduct
This job involves regular contact with patients and other hospital users, so clear communication and a professional manner are essential. The role requires a considerate, polite, respectful, confidential, and customer-focused approach at all times.
Skills and experience needed
Applicants should be able to communicate technical information in English and have basic literacy and numeracy skills. Previous experience in portering or a similar role, along with a clean current UK driving licence, would be an advantage.
Working pattern
The successful candidate must be available to work any 5 days out of 7 and cover a range of shifts, including night shifts, on a rota basis.
Additional information
Applications may be closed early once enough suitable submissions have been received. The organisation also asks candidates to keep AI assistance to a minimum in their application responses so that answers reflect genuine experience, knowledge, and skills.
