Key Responsibilities

  • Support the EHS Manager in rolling out, improving and tracking EHS policies and procedures so objectives are met and legal compliance is maintained.
  • Take ownership of the EHS standards assigned directly by the Plant EHS Manager and drive their implementation.
  • Advise, guide and coach plant teams on EHS expectations and help embed compliance in a practical, lasting way.
  • Carry out routine inspections and checks, then prepare the associated reports.
  • Perform behavioral safety observations and contribute to the development of the site behavioral safety program.
  • Coordinate and deliver EHS training sessions as directed by the EHS Manager.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels across the plant.
  • Track shop-floor compliance with PPE, KSBs and SWPs, raise immediate corrective needs, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Maintain safety logs, registers and other safety records in a controlled and up-to-date manner.
  • Review EHS communication tools such as monitors, notice boards and sign boards, and fix or report missing, damaged or incorrect items.
  • Participate in risk assessments, accident investigations, planning, emergency response, monitoring, inspections, audits, and reward and recognition activities as assigned.
  • Follow up with plant departments to ensure EHS reports are submitted on time.
  • Track the completion and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions and provide support where required.
  • Promote and reinforce positive safety behaviors and practices.
  • Ensure non-routine, critical and third-party work is performed under the correct permit-to-work process.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, review and continuous improvement of EHS systems and procedures such as SSOW, SWPs and SOPs.
  • Verify that EHS tools, equipment and safety-critical devices are properly calibrated.
  • Confirm that alarm, fire-fighting, fire-suppression, emergency lighting and CCTV systems are ready for use, and act quickly if any malfunction or impairment is found.
  • Handle additional tasks or emerging situations assigned by the direct manager, as long as they support the core purpose of the role.
