Financial Accountant

Role overview

This part-time Financial Accountant position is based in Dubai and follows a hybrid setup, with a mix of office-based work and remote work from home. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting cycles, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting rules and local UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

You will handle day-to-day accounting tasks, support period-end close activities, and help produce reliable financial information for internal use.

• Maintain and update financial records, including ledger postings and account reconciliations.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and related reports.
• Support monthly and quarterly closing processes.
• Assist with budgeting activities and variance analysis.
• Generate accurate financial reports for internal stakeholders.
• Use accounting tools to record transactions and create reports.
• Ensure work aligns with applicable accounting standards and UAE local requirements.
• Work with different teams to resolve finance-related queries.
• Contribute ideas that improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of finance and reporting, along with the ability to produce timely and accurate financial information.

• Solid understanding of finance and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Practical knowledge of accounting software and related tools.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret financial data and spot trends.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are beneficial.
• Good knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory expectations in the UAE.
• Strong attention to detail, good time management, and the ability to work independently in a hybrid arrangement.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders.
