Role summary
The Finance Manager will be responsible for safeguarding the organization’s financial stability while improving day-to-day operating efficiency. The role calls for a hands-on professional with strong technical and analytical capability to lead planning, reporting, and control activities. In this position, you will also serve as a dependable business partner, translating financial data into practical insights that support decisions and strengthen accountability across the business.
What you will do
- Prepare, review, and share financial reports such as the Profit & Loss statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statement.
- Track cash movement closely and make sure the business maintains adequate liquidity for operations.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable so financial records remain complete and accurate.
- Manage accruals, provisions, and month-end/period-end close activities on time, including YTD and ITM variance reviews.
- Build financial forecasts using historical performance, run-rate trends, and key business drivers.
- Work with budget owners to confirm assumptions, validate plans, and collect inputs for Rest-of-Year outlooks.
- Compare revised forecasts against earlier submissions and explain the main changes.
- Offer practical recommendations to help the organization meet its financial and business targets.
- Design and oversee financial controls that support efficient use of resources.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory obligations, tax rules, and internal finance policies.
- Maintain a strong control framework that reduces financial exposure and risk.
- Partner with teams across the organization to provide financial input for strategic and operational decisions.
- Present business performance updates to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and useful way.
- Review financial information to spot patterns, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Use critical thinking and forecasting to guide sound financial decisions.
- Respond quickly to financial challenges and propose workable solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team so it consistently delivers accurate and timely outputs.
- Set goals, run performance reviews, and give constructive guidance and support.
- Create a culture of ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Identify capability gaps and arrange appropriate training and development.
- Support succession planning by spotting and developing high-potential team members.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
- Professional credentials such as ACCA, CPA, or CFA are considered a strong plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial management or a senior accounting position.
- A solid background in financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Prior exposure to Sales and Distribution/Logistics in an FMCG environment will be an advantage.
