Role overview
This is a remote, hourly contractor position focused on reviewing and improving English-language AI outputs. The work may involve assessing AI-generated responses, creating expert-level language content, checking reasoning and step-by-step edits, and giving clear, practical feedback that helps improve model quality. You will judge outputs for accuracy, clarity, and prompt alignment, spot issues in logic, meaning, methods, or conceptual understanding, verify facts when necessary, and produce strong explanations and corrected versions that show the right approach.
The organization is an AI data services company that supports training data needs for major AI companies and foundation-model labs. Your language expertise will contribute directly to making AI systems more accurate, more natural, and easier to understand. There is currently no active project tied to this role, but suitable candidates may be contacted first when relevant work becomes available, and you may also gain access to future opportunities through the expert network.
Responsibilities
- Review AI-generated English responses and evaluate them for correctness, readability, and how well they satisfy the prompt.
- Analyze reasoning quality, identify logical gaps, and point out errors in meaning, methodology, or subject understanding.
- Fact-check information when required and provide precise written corrections.
- Write high-quality explanations and revised answers that model the proper method or solution.
- Compare multiple AI outputs and rate them based on accuracy, reasoning strength, and overall quality.
- Create detailed prompts and responses on varied topics to support AI training.
- Test model outputs for inaccuracies or bias and help validate reliability across different use cases.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Linguistics, English, Translation/Localization, Communications, Journalism, or a closely related discipline.
- Excellent English ability at C1 level or above; native-level or C2 proficiency is preferred.
- Additional language ability at a professional level is strongly valued.
- Strong knowledge of grammar, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse, and style across different registers.
- Sharp attention to detail for catching ambiguity, meaning shifts, inconsistencies, and subtle language issues.
- Ability to explain corrections clearly and professionally in writing.
- Comfort working with style guides and maintaining consistency in tone, terminology, punctuation, and capitalization.
- Self-managed and dependable in an hourly remote contractor environment across time zones.
- Prior exposure to AI training, annotation, editorial QA, localization QA, or professional copyediting is highly preferred.
- Practical experience using tools such as Perplexity, Gemini, ChatGPT, and similar platforms.

This position is structured as a contract role and is remote. It is hourly rather than salaried. The role does not currently have an immediate project assignment; instead, qualified candidates will be considered for upcoming opportunities and future expert-network projects.
