About the internship
This internship is based at WWF-India’s Assam & AP State Office in Uzanbazar, Guwahati, Assam. The role supports the implementation of Mission Prakriti, a holistic environment education initiative running in ICT government schools across Assam.
What you will do
- Work with district nodal officers, SSA teams, and school principals or teacher coordinators to support outreach and programme execution across districts.
- Encourage student leadership around environmental conservation and nature-friendly practices.
- Support student-driven efforts that introduce greener and more sustainable practices in schools.
- Prepare reports and maintain photo and video records of programme activities, while also helping orient teachers, principals, and district nodal officers for Mission Prakriti Assam.
- Assist in planning and organising the award ceremony or prize distribution event for Mission Prakriti Assam.
- Coordinate with schools and contribute to event planning, awareness sessions, and outreach activities.
Who can apply
This opportunity is open to candidates who can join as a full-time, in-office intern, can begin between 16 June 2026 and 21 July 2026, are available for a 6-month internship, are based in Guwahati, and have the relevant skills and interest. Civil Engineering students are specifically mentioned as eligible.
Other requirements
- Applicants must be residents of Guwahati.
- A personal working laptop is required.
- Availability for full-time participation throughout the internship is mandatory.
- The intern should be comfortable travelling locally for programme-related work.
Stipend
The internship offers a monthly stipend of INR 10,000.
