Data Scientist

About the role

EFICYENT is hiring a motivated Data Scientist to join its remote team in the United Arab Emirates. This role is focused on turning complex data into practical insights, building machine learning solutions, and supporting informed business decisions across functions.

What you’ll do

• Develop, train, and assess machine learning and statistical models.
• Prepare, clean, and examine both structured and unstructured large datasets.
• Convert business challenges into data science use cases with measurable results.
• Work with engineering teams to create and support data pipelines.
• Present insights and model outcomes in a clear way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Partner with senior data scientists and product teams to move models into production.
• Keep up with emerging tools, frameworks, and industry practices.
• Ensure accuracy, repeatability, and strong quality control throughout projects.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline, or an equivalent background through experience.
• Between 1 and 6 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or analytics.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, including NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn, along with SQL.
• Good understanding of statistical methods, machine learning techniques, and data structures.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to work through unclear or large-scale data problems.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote work environment.

Preferred experience

• Exposure to deep learning tools such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Familiarity with MLOps workflows and deployment tools such as Docker or cloud-based ML platforms.
• Knowledge of NLP, computer vision, or time-series forecasting.
• Experience sharing insights with business or leadership teams.
