Role Overview

Apptoza Inc. is hiring a Data Analyst for a long-term contract position based in Toronto, Ontario. The role centers on turning raw data into practical insights that help guide business decisions and improve operational performance.

What You'll Do

• Gather, clean, process, and study information from different sources such as databases, spreadsheets, and APIs.
• Build and update dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
• Partner with stakeholders to clarify data needs and provide insights that support decision-making.
• Review current data workflows, assess how well they perform, and suggest ways to make them better.
• Investigate the root cause of issues and share findings with teams across the organization.
• Help preserve data accuracy and consistency across systems and reports.

What We're Looking For

• A bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience in data analysis or a comparable position.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL, Excel, and at least one visualization platform such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of statistical methods and data modeling concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking ability.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort explaining complex findings in a simple, concise way.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

This is a long-term contract role located onsite in Toronto, ON. The position is intended for a detail-oriented professional who can analyze large datasets, spot trends and patterns, and translate data into insights that support business strategy and operational improvement.
