Role Summary
BTG Pactual is hiring a Credit Operations Analyst to help manage the daily processing, tracking, and administration of credit facilities and loan transactions. This position suits a driven professional who pays close attention to detail and wants to develop in a dynamic, entrepreneurial banking setting. The role partners closely with senior colleagues as well as teams across front office, legal, finance, compliance, and risk to support accurate and timely credit operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Handle the full lifecycle of credit transaction processing, including drawdowns, repayments, rollovers, and amendments.
- Keep credit facility records current and accurate across internal platforms and systems.
- Help prepare and review credit documents, term sheets, and facility agreements alongside legal and compliance partners.
- Track the credit portfolio and escalate any mismatches, exceptions, or covenant breaches to senior team members and management.
- Perform reconciliations of credit-related accounts and investigate, resolve, and close breaks in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with counterparties, custodians, and internal teams to confirm and settle transactions.
- Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly reporting for management oversight.
- Support process enhancement work and help document procedures, controls, and operational workflows.
- Ensure work is completed in line with internal policies, regulatory obligations, and risk controls.
- Assist with audit support and regulatory information requests when required.
Candidate Profile
The company is looking for someone with solid exposure to credit operations, banking, or financial services, either through work experience or strong academic background. A strong understanding of U.S. banking regulation and credit products is important, along with familiarity with revolving credit facilities, term loans, and trade finance instruments. Experience with foreign banking organizations or U.S. subsidiaries of global financial institutions is especially relevant. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, works well across functions, manages priorities under pressure, and maintains a high standard of accuracy, integrity, and professionalism.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline is required; an advanced degree or certification is an added advantage.
- 1–3 years of experience in credit operations.
- Strong understanding of the credit product lifecycle, loan settlement activity, and related processes.
- Working knowledge of credit documentation and facility agreement structures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power BI.
- Familiarity with Horizon XE or Encompass is beneficial.
- English fluency is mandatory.
- Advanced Portuguese is preferred.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, organize competing priorities, and maintain quality under pressure.
- Self-directed approach with ownership mindset and strong work discipline.
