Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned, commercially minded Country Manager to drive sales expansion and business development in the solar inverter and battery energy storage system (BESS) space. This role is focused on growing market presence, deepening partner networks, and unlocking revenue across Malaysia.

What You’ll Do

  • Create and implement go-to-market and sales plans for PV inverters and BESS offerings to increase revenue and market share.
  • Set up, expand, and oversee local sales channels such as distributors, EPC firms, installers, system integrators, and major customer accounts.
  • Spot and pursue new opportunities in residential, commercial and industrial (C&I), and utility-scale solar and storage segments.
  • Build long-term relationships with customers, channel partners, and other key stakeholders in the renewable energy ecosystem.
  • Track market developments, competitor moves, and policy shifts to guide commercial decisions.
  • Own the sales pipeline end to end, including prospecting, deal discussions, forecasting, and achievement of revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with technical, product, and marketing teams to enable partners, support campaigns, and adapt products for the local market.
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, industry conferences, and client meetings.

What We’re Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in PV inverters, BESS, solar energy, or a comparable power electronics field.
  • Demonstrated success in channel creation, distributor leadership, and key account selling.
  • Strong grasp of PV systems, inverters, energy storage technologies, and market-specific business conditions.
  • A pre-existing network of distributors, EPCs, installers, developers, or energy storage partners is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and business development capabilities.
  • Comfort working independently and willingness to travel regularly for business requirements.
