Role Overview
This contract Copy Editor role sits within the tech/retail space and is based in the United States. The assignment runs for 12 months and focuses on refining a wide range of business communications for clarity, consistency, and quality.
What You’ll Do
- Review and polish both digital and print materials, including internal messages, email marketing, and promotional collateral.
- Work closely with writers, designers, and other stakeholders to keep messaging clear, accurate, and aligned across deliverables.
- Check work at every step of the design and production workflow to support overall quality control.
- Juggle multiple priorities and shifting deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-moving setting.
- Use AI-assisted tools when needed to support content creation and editing tasks.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience editing communications as part of a creative team or similar organization.
- Strong command of U.S. English grammar, punctuation, and editorial conventions.
- Deep experience with proofreading and verifying facts.
- Comfort working with established style references, including The Chicago Manual of Style.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Information
The pay is hourly and will be aligned with experience. The posted range is an estimate provided by the hiring company.
