Role Overview

The organization is looking for a proactive and detail-focused Computer Technician to join a small and adaptable IT team based in Regina, Saskatchewan. This position calls for someone with a positive approach, strong technical ability, and the confidence to resolve issues quickly while balancing a variety of support and project tasks.

The successful candidate will support day-to-day IT operations across on-premises and cloud environments and should be comfortable working with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Office 365, virtualization, networking, security, and related software systems. The role is best suited to someone who can contribute with limited training, adapt quickly, and help strengthen the IT function in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the initial contact for support requests related to IT operations, cloud services, networking, mobile phones, cabling, hardware, and software.
• Coordinate with personnel at different sites to keep issues moving toward resolution.
• Work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Oversee the health and upkeep of computer systems and networks.
• Handle testing, setup, configuration, and rollout of hardware and software.
• Investigate and resolve technical faults and system problems.
• Support employees with system setup and issue resolution.
• Prepare and maintain process and procedure documentation.
• Look for better, faster, and more efficient ways to complete tasks.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined education and work experience in technical support.
• Strong client service orientation.
• Clear written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to juggle several priorities at once.
• Post-secondary IT certification or a technical diploma from a recognized institution.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office, including Office 365 administration.
• Working knowledge of servers, networking, cloud computing, hardware repair, software installation, laptops, PCs, and mobile devices.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work at remote mine sites and offices across Canada and the United States.
• Ability to meet international travel rules and restrictions.
