Role overview

The organization is hiring a Clinical Educator to provide educational assistance to healthcare professionals and office teams in primary care and specialist settings within a defined disease area.

What you will do
- Deliver detailed clinical education on disease states and care management approaches to healthcare providers
- Build and maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships through approved educational resources
- Follow legal, regulatory, and compliance rules in every discussion, document, and activity
- Operate within the client’s defined field parameters and work alongside field partners as required
- Complete all mandatory Inizio and client training and competency assessments on time
- Record office interactions and required reports accurately and every day
- Log time and expenses in the designated company systems
- Keep professional registration and/or licensure current as required by the company and state law
- Attend requested local or national meetings and conferences to stay updated and share best practices
- Safeguard client and company equipment and materials according to instructions
- Work in compliance with company policy, code of conduct, and external industry rules
- Remain reachable during working hours to handle inquiries and complete duties
- Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license at all times and report violations or penalty points immediately
- Manage the assigned territory effectively and travel as needed, including overnight trips
- Handle additional duties as assigned
Role boundaries
Clinical Educators are not expected to provide nursing care, medical advice, treatment advice, or promotional activity for pharmaceutical products.
Requirements
- Current state-licensed healthcare professional; Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse is preferred
- Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, BSN, or an equivalent amount of related work experience
- At least 3 years of experience in a disease-specific or related specialty area; respiratory background is preferred
- Prior work in pharma or biotech as a clinical educator or in a sales role is preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills in a professional setting
- Comfort presenting to physicians and office personnel across different functions
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Proven ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and territory demands
- Highly self-motivated and proactive
- Ongoing professional development and commitment to maintaining clinical expertise
- Willingness to travel up to 75%, including overnight stays, and residency within the assigned territory
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and use standard office equipment
Compensation and terms
The base salary for this position is $88,000 to $163,000 per year. Final pay will depend on experience, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
