Claim Manager (m/w/d)

Role Overview

As a Claim Manager in infrastructure power grid expansion projects, you will support the project leadership in steering construction projects from a commercial and contractual perspective. The role focuses on identifying claim opportunities, evaluating contractual implications, and helping secure economically sound outcomes across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of claim management activities within projects related to power grid expansion and assist project managers with the financial control of construction work.
• Review contract documents, uncover potential for change orders, and assess opportunities and risks throughout project execution.
• Prepare change requests and additional cost claims, maintain the supporting documentation, and help enforce them with clients and subcontractors.
• Work closely with project management, site management, and other stakeholders to ensure that scope changes are captured in a structured way.
• Participate in contract and claim negotiations and contribute to the development of commercially viable solutions.
• Track the current status of ongoing claims, document project progress, and prepare decision-making materials for management.

What You Bring

• Several years of professional experience in claim management for construction projects, preferably in infrastructure, energy, or utility line construction.
• Hands-on experience with contract frameworks, change order management, and project controlling in a construction environment.
• Strong understanding of construction processes as well as the technical and commercial relationships involved in building projects.
• Analytical, well-structured working style and very good written and spoken German skills at C1 level.
