About the Role
This role is for an accomplished business development professional who will expand a B2B/corporate affinity insurance referral channel covering products such as group credit life, GTLI, GMC, and related lines. The person in this position will create and manage a reliable partner ecosystem, drive lead generation, and maintain a strong balance between growth, compliance, profitability, and enduring relationships.
Company Overview
Coverfox Group is focused on transforming the way insurance is purchased, delivered, and experienced across India. The company aims to make protection simple, cost-effective, and accessible well beyond major cities, including remote parts of the country. It has introduced India’s first digital insurance brokerage, pioneered the PoSP (Point of Sales Person) model, and helped major consumer brands integrate insurance into their offerings.
Responsibilities
- Find, onboard, and oversee referral partners such as insurers, NBFCs, banks, financial advisors, and affinity partners to build insurance lead pipelines across life, health, motor, and other general insurance segments.
- Design and run a referral-channel plan that supports monthly and quarterly targets for premium, policy count, and revenue.
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with key partners and stakeholders to maintain steady business generation.
- Educate and assist partner teams on product knowledge, sales pitches, and lead conversion practices.
- Monitor partner performance, conversion ratios, and profitability, and share structured MIS and reports with leadership.
- Work with underwriting, operations, and claims functions to ensure efficient policy issuance and a positive experience for partners and customers.
- Make sure all referral structures follow IRDAI rules and the company’s internal compliance standards.
- Handle negotiations on commercial terms, commission models, and referral agreements with both new and existing partners.
- Explore fresh partnership formats, business opportunities, and revenue possibilities within the referral channel.
- Address and resolve issues raised by partners, including servicing concerns, policy-related questions, and commission disagreements.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in business development, channel sales, or partnerships in insurance, banking, or financial services.
- A demonstrated history of managing referral or alliance partnerships and meeting sales objectives.
- Sound knowledge of insurance products such as life, health, and general insurance, along with the IRDAI framework governing referral arrangements.
- Strong ability to manage relationships, negotiate effectively, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Good analytical ability to assess performance data and present actionable insights to management.
- Self-motivated, target-focused, and comfortable in a fast-moving, partner-oriented environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication, along with presentation skills.
- A bachelor’s degree is mandatory; an MBA is preferred.
- Readiness to travel when required for partner meetings and business expansion.
- An existing network within the BFSI or insurance ecosystem is an advantage.
- Prior experience with insurance companies, insurance brokers, corporate agents, or bancassurance channels is required.
Eligibility
Any graduate can apply. Candidates should bring relevant experience in insurance, partnerships, or business development, and should be willing to work with external partners in a client-facing role.
