CAD Designer

Role overview

BlueFlame Biogas is hiring a CAD Designer to support the development of the ARC (Anaerobic Reactor Cell), an Australian-made household biodigester designed to turn organic waste into clean, renewable energy. This role is aimed at someone with intermediate to advanced CAD capability who can contribute to product development for a real-world manufacturing environment.

What you will work on

• Create detailed, production-ready parts and assemblies using Onshape or SolidWorks.
• Design key product elements such as tanks, vessels, sealing systems, and agitation mechanisms.
• Build models and drawings that are suitable for manufacturing and production use.
• Apply sound DFM and DFMA thinking throughout the design process.

What the employer is looking for

The ideal candidate has medium to expert-level experience with Onshape or SolidWorks and a solid background in mechanical product design and manufacturing. Experience with tanks, fluid-handling systems, plastics, composites, or pressure vessels is a strong advantage. A genuine interest in innovation, along with a careful eye for detail, will be important in this position.
