Role Overview
This position is for an experienced Business Operations Manager who will strengthen operational performance, improve internal processes, and support strategic initiatives. The role calls for strong leadership, sharp analytical thinking, and a proactive mindset in a fast-moving environment.
This is not a standard 9 to 6 position. Managers are expected to be available to the organization as needed.
Key Responsibilities
The manager will oversee business operations across teams, improve workflows, support strategic planning, and use data to guide decisions. The role also includes project oversight, budget support, collaboration with multiple departments, and contributions to hiring and team development.
Operational Management and Process Improvement
- Manage day-to-day operations so processes across departments run efficiently and without disruption.
- Design and roll out process enhancements that improve productivity, quality, and overall effectiveness.
- Ensure operational practices follow company policies and relevant industry regulations.
Strategy, Analytics, and Planning
- Help shape and execute plans that support business growth and stronger operational performance.
- Gather, study, and interpret data to uncover trends and produce insights that inform decisions.
Projects and Financial Oversight
- Lead project work from planning through execution and monitoring to keep initiatives on schedule and successful.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the operations function.
Cross-Functional Work and Market Insight
- Partner with finance, sales, marketing, and product teams to keep operations aligned with broader business goals.
- Research the market to stay current on healthcare technology trends, competitors, and emerging tools.
Continuous Improvement and Documentation
- Drive ongoing improvement efforts that raise operational excellence throughout the company.
- Maintain thorough records of processes, procedures, and analytical work to support transparency and shared knowledge.
Hiring, Mentoring, and Culture
- Work with the Talent team on recruitment efforts, including interview participation where needed.
- Use professional networks and subject matter knowledge to attract strong candidates aligned with company goals.
- Coach and support team members within the department and across functions.
- Help shape a collaborative culture that strengthens teamwork, engagement, and shared values.
Schedule, Travel, and Location Requirements
Because this role supports critical operations, on-call availability is expected during peak periods. Occasional weekends and overnight hours may also be required. Although the company is remote-first, employees in all roles must attend headquarters about twice per year for team collaboration and strategic planning. Additional travel may be needed for this position, and travel arrangements will be supported.
Candidates must live in the Eastern or Central time zone and be able to work Eastern Time hours. Travel of up to 5% is required.
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required. A STEM degree is strongly preferred, and a master’s degree is preferred.
The ideal candidate has 5 to 7 years of experience in business operations, project management, or a similar role in healthcare or technology, including at least 2 years in a management position. Experience in a STEM environment is required.
Strong Excel skills are required, and SQL knowledge is preferred.
If not already completed, Six Sigma Green Belt certification must be earned within 6 months of joining.

The role requires a solid understanding of healthcare industry standards and regulations, along with experience in healthcare or technology settings. The successful candidate should bring strong analytical ability, excellent communication, sound organization, and the capacity to manage several priorities in a fast-paced environment. A detail-oriented, problem-solving, and client-focused approach is essential.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000 annually, with equity where applicable, variable or incentive compensation, and benefits. Total compensation may vary depending on location, qualifications, skill level, and competencies.
