Role Overview
iTacit is looking for a motivated, inquisitive, and results-oriented Business Development Representative to help accelerate growth. In this position, you will uncover new business opportunities, connect with prospective customers, and build a strong sales pipeline through thoughtful prospecting, relationship development, and account-focused outreach. The role plays an important part in expanding market reach by creating well-qualified opportunities for Account Executives and Sales Leadership.
You will focus on identifying organizations that fit iTacit’s ideal customer profile and engaging them through outbound outreach, account-based selling tactics, events, networking, and targeted campaigns. Success in this role requires strong organization, commercial awareness, and comfort using modern sales tools such as CRM platforms, LinkedIn, AI-based research tools, and sales engagement software.

Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential customers that match iTacit’s target industries and ideal profile.
- Run structured outbound campaigns using phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, networking, and industry events.
- Create and maintain target account lists and engagement plans that support revenue growth.
- Lead discovery conversations to uncover business needs, priorities, organizational fit, and potential impact.
- Connect with leaders in Operations, Safety, HR, Learning & Development, and frontline workforce environments across multiple industries.
- Book qualified meetings and generate opportunities for Account Executives and Sales Leadership.
- Develop relationships with decision-makers and key influencers inside target accounts.
- Work closely with Marketing and Revenue Leadership on account-based campaigns, event follow-up, and strategic outreach.
- Keep CRM records accurate, including activity logs, engagement details, qualification status, and pipeline data.
- Stay current on industry movements, customer pain points, competitors, and new technologies.
- Consistently achieve or exceed targets for outreach activity, meetings, opportunity creation, and pipeline contribution.
- Represent iTacit professionally and help shape a strong first impression throughout the buyer journey.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in sales development, business development, lead generation, inside sales, prospecting, or a closely related revenue role.
- Proven track record of meeting or surpassing prospecting, meeting booking, or pipeline goals.
- Strong communication skills, including active listening, questioning, and relationship-building.
- Solid business judgment and the ability to speak confidently with decision-makers.
- A naturally curious mindset and interest in understanding business challenges and uncovering opportunities.
- Self-driven, resilient, and comfortable being measured against clear performance goals.
- Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization abilities.
- Ability to manage several accounts, opportunities, and outreach efforts at the same time.
Preferred Background
- Experience in SaaS, technology, or B2B software sales environments.
- Exposure to enterprise accounts, regulated sectors, or operational frontline audiences.
- Working knowledge of HubSpot or a similar CRM.
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, prospecting tools, sales engagement platforms, and AI-assisted research tools.
- Understanding of modern prospecting, qualification, and account-based selling methods.
- Experience supporting both inbound demand programs and outbound prospecting efforts.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related area.
