About the Role

Fujitsu is seeking a Business Analyst for its Office of AI to help turn AI opportunities into practical business results. In this role, you will work with business and delivery stakeholders to identify high-value AI opportunities, lead discovery and process discussions, and convert complex challenges into clear, testable requirements. Your work will support responsible and scalable AI adoption across the organisation.

The position is based in Sydney or Melbourne, with preference for either of those cities, although candidates located elsewhere in Australia may also be considered. The working model is hybrid.

What You Will Do

  • Work with teams to spot AI opportunities that align with business issues and shape them into well-defined use cases with measurable success criteria.
  • Run discovery, process, and transformation workshops, while capturing decisions and analysis in a structured way.
  • Develop practical artefacts such as user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, business rules, and assumptions that can be used confidently by delivery teams.
  • Create current-state and future-state value stream maps, define flow measures, and build an improvement backlog so changes are visible, evidence-based, and repeatable.
  • Help testing and launch readiness by defining test approaches, preparing test cases and scenarios, supporting UAT, and checking the definition of done.
  • Maintain requirements traceability, support change management across stakeholders, and track value after deployment to keep outcomes aligned with expectations.
  • Bring clarity to stakeholders working through complex change and collaborate across the business to support AI adoption at scale.

What We’re Looking For

You should bring 3 to 6 years of experience in business analysis, consulting, or a similar role in a complex environment. Strong requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder facilitation skills are essential, along with proven workshop leadership and the ability to turn diverse input into actionable requirements and acceptance criteria.

Hands-on experience with process mapping or value stream mapping is important, especially where you have identified bottlenecks and proposed improvements. Experience with process change, transformation, automation, or AI-enabled initiatives is highly valued, as is familiarity with Lean practices, flow measures, and continuous improvement.

A working understanding of AI, data, and digital delivery environments will be an advantage, including familiarity with automation, machine learning, generative AI, data analysis or visualisation tools, and Agile or iterative ways of working.

You will also need strong analytical and problem-solving ability, clear communication skills, the confidence to build alignment across business and technology teams, and the ability to guide collaborative workshops toward agreed decisions. Personal strengths such as curiosity, structured thinking, integrity, care, and comfort with ambiguity will help you succeed in this role.

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Operations, or a related discipline is preferred, although equivalent experience will also be considered.
