What you will do

You will support the team by serving food and drinks to the correct standard while keeping service fast, accurate, and customer-focused. The role also involves maintaining high levels of cleanliness and safety throughout the pub.

Working hours can vary because the pubs operate early in the day and late into the night. Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and late finishes.

Key duties

• Take orders and prepare, pour, and serve drinks to the required specification, either at the bar or through the customer app.
• Deliver food to guests, complete check-backs, and clear plates within the expected timeframe.
• Offer warm, friendly service by greeting customers, thanking them, and building good rapport.
• Stay informed about promotions, events, and new products.
• Follow clean-as-you-go standards by clearing tables, wiping surfaces, and carrying out toilet checks.
• Help in other areas as needed, including glass washing, replenishing fridges, clearing the floor and beer garden, and supporting general duties.

Pay and benefits

The package includes a competitive rate of pay, a free meal and drink while on shift, and a 20% discount on food, drinks, and hotel accommodation for you plus up to three guests when off duty. Additional benefits include an extra £1 per hour for work between midnight and 5:59am, a bonus scheme that can add up to 19% of pay, paid holiday, free shares after a qualifying period, and a loyalty reward scheme. Both guaranteed-hours and variable-hours contracts are available.

Training and growth

The company offers structured training, apprenticeships, management academies, and cross-training into other departments such as kitchen and hotel. There are also chances to progress into team leader, kitchen shift leader, or pub manager roles.
