Role overview
This is a full-time remote opportunity based in Australia for an Associate Product Analyst. The position is designed for analytical, detail-focused early-career candidates and recent graduates who want to grow into Product Management, Business Analysis, or Product Operations.
In this role, you will partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and other stakeholders to examine product outcomes, collect user insights, and contribute to decisions backed by data. The job provides broad exposure across the product lifecycle and helps build a strong foundation for future product-oriented career paths.
Key responsibilities
- Review product performance indicators and patterns in user behaviour.
- Help collect, organise, and document product requirements.
- Prepare stakeholder-ready reports, dashboards, and presentation materials.
- Assist with user research and analysis of customer feedback.
- Track core product KPIs and flag areas where the product can be improved.
- Work alongside engineering and design teams throughout product development.
- Support product testing and confirm feature readiness.
- Keep product documentation and process records up to date.
- Contribute to product launches and assess results after launch.
Required background and capabilities
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Economics, Marketing, or a closely related discipline.
- Good analytical thinking and the ability to solve problems effectively.
- Hands-on comfort with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret data and spot meaningful trends.
- Well-developed organisational habits and a sharp eye for detail.
Preferred exposure
- Awareness of SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum ways of working.
- Some experience from academic projects, internships, or product-related coursework.
- Exposure to product analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Amplitude.
