Role Summary
The Associate Manager, Supply Chain Operations will help run inventory management, order fulfillment, logistics, and customer operations across direct-to-consumer, wholesale, and retail channels. The position plays an important operational role by keeping inventory, orders, shipments, and fulfillment activities visible and well coordinated so products move efficiently and customers receive a strong experience.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Operations, this person will help manage daily operations, keep dashboards and reports current, spot risks early, and support readiness for inventory and fulfillment across the business.
Inventory and Supply Operations
- Track inventory levels, stock movement, incoming supply, and replenishment across all SKUs and channels while keeping records and operating data accurate and up to date.
- Watch inventory health closely to flag possible stockouts, overstock situations, and supply-related risks.
- Assist with forecasting and replenishment planning by using operational reports, analysis, and inventory insights.
- Work with manufacturers, suppliers, warehouses, and logistics partners to help maintain supply continuity and product availability.
Customer and Retail Operations
- Support order processing for retail and DTC business from purchase order receipt through final delivery to the customer.
- Coordinate with 3PLs, warehouses, freight carriers, and fulfillment partners.
- Monitor order movement, fulfillment performance, backorders, cancellations, and shipping exceptions.
- Track retailer compliance requirements and help resolve routing, deduction, and chargeback issues.
- Keep an eye on sales events, promotions, launches, and retailer programs to support inventory and fulfillment readiness.
Logistics and Fulfillment
- Maintain visibility into inbound and outbound shipments, warehouse activity, and freight performance.
- Monitor service levels, OTIF performance, and fulfillment metrics, and escalate service issues when needed.
- Support allocation planning during inventory constraints, launches, promotions, and retail events.
- Coordinate freight tracking, delivery confirmation, and shipment issue resolution with logistics and fulfillment partners.
Reporting and Operational Analysis
- Prepare and maintain operational KPI reporting covering inventory health, OTIF, fill rate, order aging, chargebacks, fulfillment performance, and freight performance.
- Keep operational data, reporting, and dashboards accurate and reliable.
- Maintain dashboards that provide clear visibility into operational trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Spot process improvement opportunities and help implement solutions that improve efficiency, service levels, and scalability.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with internal teams and external operational partners to support business goals.
- Support launch and promotional readiness by ensuring inventory, fulfillment, and operational needs are tracked and communicated.
- Proactively surface operational risks and share possible impacts along with recommended mitigation steps.
- Use good judgment to determine when issues should be escalated and communicate risks, impacts, and proposed actions to leadership.
- Show strong ownership by following through proactively, taking responsibility for assigned work, and resolving or escalating issues in a timely way.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings 3 to 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory management, customer operations, retail operations, or a related function. Experience working with 3PLs, freight providers, fulfillment partners, or inventory management systems is preferred. Background in beauty, skincare, consumer goods, retail, or ecommerce is also preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability is important, along with advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills. Experience with ERP, inventory management, or order management systems is preferred. The role also calls for strong organization, the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment, effective communication, and the ability to work well across teams.
Compensation
The base salary for this role is $85,000 to $110,000, depending on experience.
