Role overview
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Application Support Consultant to join the Service Desk team. The role centers on ERP functional support for the QAD platform and calls for strong communication, analytical thinking, curiosity, and the ability to work effectively with internal teams, vendors, and clients. You will need to stay calm under pressure, manage several priorities at once, and deliver practical support outcomes.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Brisbane. Applications are also welcome from candidates located in Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide.
What you will do
- Deliver application and functional support to clients.
- Interpret business needs and convert them into functional requirements.
- Help clients investigate issues, resolve problems, and adopt effective best practices.
- Create and improve support documentation, knowledge articles, and step-by-step guides.
- Support root cause analysis to reduce repeat incidents and avoid future disruptions.
- Work closely with senior consultants and managers to support client satisfaction and business outcomes.
Working conditions
- Employment is permanent and full time.
- The preferred office base is Brisbane, with consideration for Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide applicants.
- Occasional business travel may be required.
What will help you succeed
- At least 5 years of application support experience with QAD ERP or a similar platform such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft D365, Pronto, or NetSuite.
- Background in manufacturing support, including familiarity with scheduling and planning tools, production orders, BoM, routing, and related processes.
- Experience in a help desk setting and the ability to manage competing priorities is an advantage.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences.
