Watchmaker

Position Summary

Horotech Inc is hiring an experienced Watchmaker to support the repair workflow and uphold a very high level of craftsmanship. In this role, you will focus on polishing, refinishing, and preparing timepieces carefully so they move smoothly through the service process.

Key Responsibilities

• Restore the appearance of watch cases, bracelets, and clasps by polishing and refinishing them to their original finish.
• Work with specialized equipment and methods to eliminate surface flaws without affecting the condition of the timepiece.
• Coordinate with watchmakers to make sure each item is handled correctly before and after polishing.
• Carry out quality checks to support strong craftsmanship and customer service standards.
• Take apart and reassemble watch cases using professional tools and equipment.
• Keep the workstation neat and orderly, and ensure tools and equipment remain in good working condition.

Requirements

• Prior hands-on experience in watch polishing, jewelry finishing, or metal refinishing is required.
• Formal training or certification in watchmaking or metal refinishing is strongly preferred.
• Practical knowledge of refinishing methods, finishes, and luxury timepiece handling is needed.
• Familiarity with polishing equipment such as buffing wheels and abrasive compounds is expected.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must be legally authorized to work full time in the United States.

Physical Demands

This position is performed in a professional workshop setting using standard office and polishing equipment.

The work requires strong eyesight and fine manual control to manage small parts accurately.

You should be able to focus on intricate tasks for extended periods and comfortably sit, stand, and use tools for long stretches.

Work Schedule and Location

This is a full-time, onsite role based in Coral Gables, FL 33134. Working hours are Monday through Friday.
