Role overview

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for hands-on and clerical tasks that keep warehouse and site logistics running smoothly. The role covers receiving and dispatch support, truck loading and unloading, storage and preservation of materials, and careful handling of supplies, equipment, and parts.

In addition to physical warehouse work, this position calls for solid knowledge of receipt inspection processes and accurate data entry into tracking and ERP systems. Most duties are carried out with minimal supervision, and the employee must be ready to take on other tasks as needed.

Key duties

Incoming materials must be received, checked, recorded, and routed correctly through the ERP workflow. This includes unloading deliveries safely, comparing packing or advice notes with purchase orders, confirming certificates required by the PO, verifying quantities and descriptions, documenting any mismatch, and informing purchasing without delay. New stock must then be tagged, staged in the waiting-for-inspection area, and issued to the correct teams through the proper receiving paperwork and ERP steps.

Warehouse organization and stock control are also central to the role. The worker must keep stores, goods-in zones, tools, plant, equipment, and consumables clean, orderly, and secure; place items in the right locations; preserve them correctly; monitor the condition of stored goods; and track shelf life for limited-life items so the manager is warned before expiry. Damaged hold stock and dead stock must be kept in a separate area to avoid accidental use. All movements must be controlled and recorded, unauthorized removals prevented, and cycle counts and stock checks completed as required.

For picking, packing, and shipping, the worker will follow issued pick lists, verify items are in acceptable condition, assemble cartons, package goods according to company methods, build wooden export crates when needed for parts and rotors, secure shipments against damage or loss, tick off items as they are packed, apply the correct labels and markings, issue final shipping documents, and load outbound trucks safely.

All warehouse, receiving, and packing work must comply with company procedures. The employee is expected to suggest practical improvements to existing systems and workflows and to support any other facility tasks assigned by management.
