UI/UX Designer Intern

About the internship

This remote internship is with an EdTech company focused on adaptive learning powered by artificial intelligence. The team builds learning journeys that adjust to each user, identify individual skill gaps, and generate targeted learning content to help close those gaps. The role is suited to someone eager to help shape polished product experiences and brand visuals for a fast-moving learning platform.

What you will work on

• Create refined UI screens and visual layouts for web and mobile experiences, turning product needs into clear and polished interfaces.
• Develop and update a design system that includes reusable components, typography, color usage, spacing, and interaction patterns to keep the product visually consistent as it expands.
• Design original illustrations and icon sets in Illustrator to build a unique visual language instead of relying on generic stock-style artwork.
• Animate micro-interactions and onboarding or explainer sequences in Rive, including loading states, transitions, empty states, and celebration moments.
• Use AI-based design and image tools such as Midjourney and Adobe Firefly, or similar tools, to accelerate ideation, create concept art, or produce final assets where needed.
• Build interactive prototypes that help the team experience screens and motion before development begins.
• Produce marketing creatives such as social media banners, flyers, event posters, and campaign graphics using Canva and Illustrator while maintaining brand consistency.
• Support growth and marketing with fast-turnaround visuals for launches, promotions, and campaigns.
• Refine existing screens and graphics based on team feedback.
• Keep design documentation and handoff notes organized for the broader team.

Who can apply

Applications are open only to candidates who can work from home, can begin between 8 Jul 2026 and 12 Aug 2026, are available for a 6-month internship, and have relevant skills and interest in the role. Women who are looking to start or restart their careers are also welcome to apply.

Other requirements

• Basic photography and video editing knowledge for social media and marketing content.
• Ability to design for multiple markets and languages, including localization, right-to-left layouts, and cultural design considerations.
• Prior exposure to an early-stage startup environment, especially building design systems and visual language from the ground up.
• Understanding of brand identity work, including logo systems and brand guidelines.

Stipend and payment structure

The internship offers a monthly stipend of INR 13,000 to 17,000. The pay is split into a fixed component of INR 12,000 to 15,000 per month and an incentive component of INR 1,000 to 2,000 per month.
