Un jour, Une construction is looking for a part-time Supply Chain Manager based in Dubai. This position combines on-site presence with work-from-home flexibility and focuses on keeping materials and supplies available when needed, while staying aligned with budget limits.
What the role involves
You will manage the full supply chain cycle for construction projects, from predicting demand and placing orders to tracking inventory and coordinating with suppliers. The role requires close coordination with project managers, finance teams, and logistics partners to keep supply operations running smoothly.
- Review demand forecasts and translate them into material requirements.
- Monitor stock movement and maintain healthy inventory levels.
- Create, follow up on, and manage purchase orders.
- Improve supply processes to support active construction work.
- Assess supplier performance and flag supply-related risks early.
- Prepare recurring updates on inventory, spending, and supply chain efficiency.
- Ensure supply activities follow internal policies and procedures.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in sourcing and planning methods.
Qualifications
- You should have strong capability in demand planning and forecasting, with the ability to read data and estimate future material needs accurately.
- Experience in procurement and supply coordination is important, including vendor evaluation, negotiation, and purchase order handling.
- You need hands-on familiarity with inventory control, stock optimization, and setting reorder thresholds.
- Good analytical ability is required, along with comfort using spreadsheets or ERP systems to review performance and cost data.
- Background in construction, engineering, or a closely related sector is preferred.
- Strong organization, accuracy, and time management skills are essential.
- You must be able to communicate clearly and work effectively with internal stakeholders and outside partners.
- A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a similar discipline is required, or you should have equivalent professional experience.
