Role overview
Amey is hiring a Stores Person for HMP Holme House in Stockton-on-Tees. This hands-on position is suited to someone with experience in a stockroom, stores, or similar environment who enjoys keeping supplies organised and operations running efficiently.
The post is based at HMP Holme House, Stockton-on-Tees TS18 2QU, and offers a salary of £27,426 for a 39-hour working week. The usual schedule is Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 16:00, with an earlier finish of 15:00 on Fridays.
What you will do
In this role, you will support the smooth running of stores operations across the site. Your day-to-day work will include controlling stock, moving items to staff and workshops, assisting with the supervision of prisoners working in stores, and collecting items locally when required.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a stores, stockroom, or comparable environment and will be comfortable working within a prison setting. Basic IT ability is needed, along with a full UK driving licence. Knowledge of manual handling would be beneficial, although it is not essential.
You will need prison security clearance and a Standard DBS check; support will be provided for this process.
