Role Overview

This role sits within the Engineering & Facilities function at a luxury hospitality property in Diriyah, Riyadh. The position is non-management and is scheduled as a full-time, on-site role.

Core Duties

You will be responsible for carrying out installation, servicing, preventive upkeep, and possible replacement recommendations for tools, appliances, and equipment. The job also involves calibrating controls, gauges, and meters, identifying and operating shut-off valves, and keeping parts and supplies stocked and organized.

Other routine tasks include tracking inventory and purchase orders, inspecting equipment and machinery, using computers to record and retrieve work information, and operating power lift equipment. You will also complete life-safety checks such as fire-pump run tests, generator run tests, and inspections of sprinkler valves and alarm systems.

The position includes supporting the development of emergency and disaster response procedures, as well as responding to guest maintenance requests in a timely manner.

Supervision and Team Support

You may assist leadership with hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating team members. The role also calls for fostering positive working relationships, supporting shared goals, and contributing to a productive and respectful workplace.

Standards, Safety, and Guest Service

You are expected to follow company policies, safety practices, and security procedures at all times. This includes reporting maintenance issues, hazards, incidents, or injuries, and completing required safety training and certifications.

Professional presentation, confidentiality, clear communication, and consistent service to guests are essential. You should greet guests according to brand standards, anticipate service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and maintain quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The role may also require identifying and implementing improvements that enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost control.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to inspect equipment visually, work with varied tools and machine components, bend, twist, pull, stoop, and reach above and below knee level. You must be able to handle, move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds without assistance, remain standing, sitting, or walking for long periods, and move on stairs or service ramps.

Qualifications

A technical, trade, or vocational school qualification is preferred. The role also calls for at least 2 years of related work experience and at least 2 years of supervisory experience. No license or certification is required.
