Role overview
Gold Fields is seeking a Service Crew team member for underground work at Granny Smith in Laverton, Western Australia. This is a FIFO position from Perth on a rotating roster of 8/6 days and 7/7 nights. The role is part-time and onsite, and prior underground mining experience as a Nipper or Truck Driver is required.
In this position, you will help keep underground operations safe and productive by supporting essential mine infrastructure. Your work will involve installing and maintaining ventilation, water, power, compressed air, and pumping systems.
You will report to the Supervisor Underground Production and work in a practical, fast-moving environment. The job suits people who are hands-on, enjoy solving problems, and work well with others.
Key duties
Your main responsibility will be to support underground services so the mine can operate efficiently and safely.
Working arrangement
- FIFO travel from Perth
- 8 days on / 6 days off day roster
- 7 nights on / 7 nights off night roster
- Located at Granny Smith

Skills and qualifications
- Experience working underground as a Nipper or Truck Driver
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance
- Ability to work closely with others and communicate clearly
- Good physical fitness and comfort working in demanding conditions
- Current manual driver’s licence
- Current Dangerous Goods Security Card
- Current Working at Heights certification
- Satisfactory National Police Clearance
