Senior Category Manager

Role overview

Baytonia is looking for an accomplished Senior Category Manager to own and grow its furniture category portfolio, with a strong focus on commercial performance and market expansion.

Core responsibilities

• Create and execute category plans for furniture and home furnishing lines.
• Study sales results, market movements, and customer buying patterns to guide decisions.
• Oversee assortment planning, pricing choices, and promotional initiatives.
• Develop dependable partnerships with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Track stock availability and keep inventory at suitable levels.
• Work closely with merchandising, purchasing, and operations functions to support business targets.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a similar discipline.
• At least 5 years of background in category management, ideally in furniture or retail.
• Strong commercial judgment along with solid analytical capability.
• Proven ability to negotiate effectively and manage suppliers well.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Prior exposure to furniture, home décor, or retail category management is a major advantage.
