Role overview
This position is responsible for leading store performance across sales, profitability, service standards, team engagement, inventory control, and store presentation. The role focuses on keeping the store profitable, ensuring operating discipline, supporting visual merchandising, and building a strong customer and employee experience.
Key responsibilities and performance measures
- Drive store revenue growth and assess future business opportunities.
- Improve the store’s overall profitability and help strengthen EBITDA.
- Track service standards, maintain the required SLA, and keep the store’s RAG status aligned with the annual operating plan.
- Raise the store’s Net Promoter Score and customer experience outcomes.
- Build a strong talent pipeline to support future new store openings.
- Strengthen the capability of store team members and contribute to topline growth.
- Ensure store processes and SOPs are followed consistently in line with store excellence standards.
- Support brand positioning through disciplined execution, financial planning, and budget management.
- Meet store targets while focusing on gross margins across categories.
- Reduce shrinkage and carry out periodic audits.
- Keep the store at break-even and improve the bottom line.
- Control operating expenses and improve cost efficiency.
- Manage inventory ageing and maintain healthy stock turns.
- Track competitor activity and share timely insights on products, pricing, and promotions.
- Execute marketing plans, sales promotions, and store events.
- Manage attrition and build a stable, high-performing team.
- Identify, recognise, and develop talent across store teams.
- Optimise manpower deployment by category.
- Support functional and behavioural training for team members.
- Coach sales associates through training and career planning.
- Keep teams updated on new products, brands, presentation methods, and selling techniques.
- Ensure timely performance reviews and feedback for all store employees.
- Monitor sales figures and inventory planning closely.
- Follow Mockshop guidelines and ensure full SOP implementation by the team.
- Maintain negative inventory control and statutory compliance.
- Conduct regular SOP training for store staff.
- Maintain store ranking and operational excellence.
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are met at all times.
- Make sure the sales team addresses customer needs effectively.
- Identify customer requirements and offer the most suitable product, service, or care solution quickly.
- Maintain customer connect, promote store activity, and support sales through timely outreach.
- Deliver conversion, ATS, and NOB as per target.
- Work toward a customer satisfaction score above 85%.
Education and experience
Applicants should hold a graduate or postgraduate degree and bring 3 to 9 years of relevant experience.
